A bedside table in solid sheesham with a single drawer above an open shelf, at 58 cm — level with the top of most platform mattresses, which is where a bedside table actually needs to be.
Why sheesham
Dense enough that a small table still feels planted, and figured enough that it sits alongside a teak bed as a deliberate contrast rather than a mismatch.
Care
Wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry at once. Avoid standing water and silicone polish. Sheesham deepens in colour over the first year — that is the timber maturing, not a fault.
