Why sheesham

Sheesham, or Indian rosewood, is dense and strongly figured, running from golden brown to deep chocolate. That density is what lets a piece carry real weight without bowing, and the grain is pronounced enough that no two are alike. Storage beds put the load through the frame rather than the legs, so a dense timber and tight joints matter more here than on a plain platform.
