A sideboard with a solid teak carcass and four hand-woven cane door fronts. The cane keeps the piece visually light — a run of solid doors this wide reads as a wall — and lets air move through, which matters for anything stored inside.

Shelves are adjustable, so the same cabinet can hold table linen, glassware or files depending on the room it ends up in.
Why teak and cane
Teak's oil content makes it stable enough for a piece this wide to resist warping across seasons. Cane is woven by hand, so slight variation between panels is expected rather than a defect.
Care
Dust with a dry cloth and wipe spills promptly. Teak needs no polish to survive, though an occasional application of teak oil will keep the colour warm rather than letting it silver. Keep it out of direct sunlight for long periods, which fades any timber.
