A dining chair in solid sheesham, sold individually rather than only in sets of six — which makes it practical to add to a set as a household grows, or to replace one without rebuying all of them.
Why sheesham
Sheesham, also called Indian rosewood, is a dense hardwood with a pronounced grain that runs from golden brown to deep chocolate. It is hard enough to take daily use without denting, which is exactly what a dining chair needs, and it holds a joint well.
Care
Wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid standing water and household polish containing silicone. Sheesham darkens and deepens with age, so expect the colour to change over the first year — that is the timber maturing, not a fault.
